The fiftieth State of U.S.—Hawaii is an archipelago of the Hawaiian Islands in the central Pacific Ocean. The beautiful Hawaiian Islands were discovered by a British explorer, Captain James Cook, who christened these islands as ‘the Sandwich Islands’.

The Sandwich Islands became the U.S. territory in 1900; however Hawaii, also known as HI, became the 50th state of United States in 1959. Honolulu is the capital and the largest city of the state. Hawaiian and English are the official languages of the state.
