Amsterdam – The City Wallowing In Sensual Pleasures

Your destination for lofty architectures, majestic mansions, charming canals, fantabulous shopping malls, luxury hotels, wonderful bars & restaurants, vibrant nightlife, and sensual pleasures — Amsterdam is fantastic city situated on the point where the small bifurcated Amstel River is joined by a sluice dam, built in 1240; it’s from this the city has got its name “Amste-r-dam”.

Sitting on the banks of two bodies of water; the IJ bay and the Amstel River in Netherlands, Amsterdam was founded as small fishing village in the late 12th century. However, the modern Amsterdam is the largest city and official capital of the Netherlands. The Dutch Capital is the financial and cultural hub of the country.

Amsterdam is a wonderful vacation destination full of tourist attractions including canals, the architectures, nightlife, the Red Light District, museums & art galleries, zoos, botanical gardens, parks, scenic countryside, windmills, and many more.
Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful, the most romantic, and the most marvelous cities of the world. The series of 17th century concentric, semi-circular canals (grachten) that were dug around the old city centre, adds to the beauty and romance of the city. The captivating canals, which make the city, your “Venice of the North,” are the major attractions of the city. The fine houses and mansions situated along side the canals just enhance the beauty of canals.

Amsterdam has a rich architectural treasure including about 7000 registered historic buildings, fine churches, mediaeval wooden houses, Begijnhof, canal houses and mansions. The city offers mesmeric countryside with windmills, and a beach at the coast west of the city.
